IdahoSTARS Professional Development Recognition and Supports (PDRS) is a system of scholarships, financial incentives, and recognitions designed to support early care and education professional’s growth and advancement.
To be eligible to join the PDRS, you must meet all the following criteria*:
Based on your employment and incentive status, you may be eligible to access some or all of the PDRS recognitions and supports. *
Get placed on the professional pathway, a framework that recognizes child care professionals as they progress through different levels based on their education, experience and specialized skills.
The PDRS Anniversary Incentive is awarded to eligible participants after completing at least 20 points of professional activities during their annual PDRS anniversary cycle.
Training scholarships and training reimbursements cover the cost of IdahoSTARS-approved training, workshops, or conferences taken in person or through distance learning. Eligible users receive 200 Training Scholarship units per year.
CDA Scholarships cover the costs of CDA assessment or renewal for Child Development Associates granted by the Council for Professional Recognition.
GED Reimbursement Scholarships reimburse the costs of GED testing.
Academic scholarships or reimbursements cover some of the cost for professionals who earn academic credits or a degree in Early Childhood Education. If you have questions about Academic Scholarships, email academicscholarships@idahoaeyc.org.
IdahoSTARS badges provide recognition for the completion of targeted professional development activities. Each badge represents a different domain of child development or specialized area of accomplishment. . | Learn More |
