We are excited to announce a unique opportunity for Idaho Early Childhood Educators to promote social and emotional competencies and prevent and address challenging behavior in Idaho’s children.
The Idaho Pyramid Model Collaborative is an initiative of The Idaho State Department of Education-Division of Special Education, Idaho SESTA (Special Education Support & Technical Assistance), Head Start Collaboration Office, Center on Disabilities and Human Development (CDHD/University of Idaho), IdahoSTARS, and Boise State University.
The framework focuses on supporting Idaho’s Early Childhood Educators build strong evidence-based teaching and learning practices. These practices are focused on developing positive relationships, supportive and nurturing environments, inclusion, teaching social/emotional skills, and reducing challenging behavior through training and on-going support.
Applications to join this multi-year initiative are now open to all early childhood educators (birth thru 5) enrolled in STEPS TO QUALITY 1-5! If you are interested in more information, please visit https://idahotc.com/pyramid and watch a quick overview video found here.
