We have exciting news to share! Between July 1, 2022, and June 1st, 2023, early care and education professionals who are eligible for incentives have the opportunity to apply for additional training scholarships beyond their $200 normal scholarship budget.

This funding covers multiple types of professional development that include but are not limited to:

  • conferences
  • webinars
  • seminars
  • online training
  • ongoing training for director’s or other specialized credentials
  • Montessori training and credentials

All training and professional development must have begun after July 1, 2022. Trainings do not need to be completed and can be ongoing with completion scheduled for a later date. Training does not have to be from a pre-approved IdahoSTARS training company or trainer but must meet the basic standards of quality and will be reviewed by the IdahoSTARS training office prior to consideration.

There is currently no maximum amount, funding decisions will are made by a cross-project committee based on funding availability and a rubric of criteria. Decisions will be made on a monthly basis. To have your application reviewed, please apply by the 1st of the month you wish to be considered.

If you’ve already paid for eligible training, you can use this application to apply for reimbursement. These supplemental scholarships will have no effect on your existing training scholarship budget.

Applications are available on these two forms. English applications can be found here. Spanish applications can be found here.
